THE STEPS TOWARDS THE CREATION OF THE ITALIAN PLATFORM



7th – 9th September 2004
Official meeting at the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research
.

This meeting, chaired by Mrs Letizia Moratti, the former Italian Minister of Education, University and Research, was an occasion to lay the foundation of the Italian Platform connected to the European initiative.

4th February , 2005 – Workshop in Milan

This workshop, organized by INCA Consortium in close collaboration with the Polytechnic of Milan, was a multi-level debate for the definition of the European Strategic Research Agenda (SRA).

April 20th, 2005
– Meeting in Canberra

The AustralianAcademy of Science, the AustralianAcademy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, the Royal Australian chemical Institute and the Federal Australian Government organized jointly a meeting focused on the impact of Green Chemistry and of sustainable products on the Australian chemical industry. Prof. Tundo referred on the European and Italian experiences about Technology Platform for Sustainable Chemistry.

August13th, 2005 – Meeting in Beijing

The 40th IUPAC Congress was an occasion to discuss about Green Chemistry issues. Prof. Tundo chaired the session focused on Environmental Chemistry and Green Chemistry and referred on the European and Italian experiences about Technology Platform for Sustainable Chemistry

July 7th, 2006 – Constitution of Working Groups of INCA Consortium

INCA promotes the constitution of Woking Groups with the aim of working in fields of common interest. These Working Groups, financially supported by INCA, are opened to the participation of other Interuniversity Consortiums. In the future, they will be met the delegates of other Mirror Groups.

At the present time, two Working Groups are operating in the field of Green Chemistry and Biochemistry.

 July 16th, 2006 – ESOF

In the framework of the Euroscience Open Forum 2006, INCA Consortium organized a seminar called “Green chemistry: a tool for socio-economic development and environmental protection.” Prof. Tundo referred on the European and Italian experiences about Technology Platform for Sustainable Chemistry

 26th – 28th August 2006 – SusChem Meeting in Budapest

During this meeting SusChem presented an action plan for research and innovation over the next five years based on eight main themes: bio-based economy; energy; healthcare; ICT, nanotechnology; sustainable quality of life; sustainable product and process design; transport.
