ACTIVITIES

Activities of INCA Consortium can be divided into three main areas, all destined to diffusion of chemistry - and also biology and engineering - for environment protection:

1) Scientific research at a national and international level;

2) Educational activities (post- and pre-academic) at a national and international level;

3) Publications and dissemination of the scientific culture.

PUBBLICATIONS & DISSEMINATION

The Consortium establishes and manages new laboratories for advanced research, establishes a Local Unit and one or more Research Units at the member universities. Conventions can be made also for collaborations with public agencies and private organisations for research at a national and international level.

INCA promotes development and projects for new collaborations among Research Units (RUs) of the member universities, collaborations of the RUs with public or private research agencies, both national and international, active in the fields of chemistry and environmental sciences, according to subjects of interest (details here).

The Consortium provides laboratory facilities and equipment for the member universities, in order to support doctoral studies and training for researchers.

INCA promotes and manages advanced education of workers interested in technical and/or environmental disciplines. INCA prepared its own National Education Programme (details here)according to the demand deriving from specific regulations at a national and European level. The Consortium promotes formation of experts in the field of chemistry for the environment, issuing, in proper cases, grants for young researchers.

INCA promotes and initiates actions for know-how transfer from basic research to productive and industrial sectors, considering also local scenarios of the different Research Units;

The Consortium performs scientific investigations on behalf of Public Administrations and public and private Agencies, also provides consultation and support for questions regarding the chemistry for the environment.

The Consortium is also involved in collaborations with industries for development of high-tech equipment and of innovative chemical processes focusing on intrinsically safe and environmentally-friendly ones.

The Consortium may sign agreements and conventions with national and international public and private Agencies, Foundations, and Companies operating in fields of interest for INCA . Can become member of other Consortia which are active in similar fields, with same objectives. INCA can participate to design, realization and management of scientific initiatives in the framework of international cooperation and projects.
